TAP (Towards A Prosperous) India Foundation was founded in 2014 by a group of corporate executives as a charitable trust. Since our inception TAP India has been working with children from the most disadvantaged communities in order to bring them into the formal schooling system. This was largely achieved by actively facilitating funds and supporting capacity building measures for our implementation partners.

Initially, our model aimed to identify and enrol these children and then impart innovative and comprehensive education to them through non-formal education centers, in order to bring them to age appropriate levels and then facilitate their enrolment in government schools. By the end of 2020, TAP India had cumulatively enrolled close to 11,000 out of school children in government and private schools in the Delhi NCR region.

In 2021, TAP India decided to re-position itself as a Social Franchising Organization with the aim to specialize in efficient replication of proven models for school enrolment and retention of out of school children, at scale, by building a Network of Social Franchisees in India.
